Have a question you want to ask the DP crew? Well, ask away! And feel free to direct questions to other characters besides Jazz, Sam, Tucker, and Danny. Crossovers are also welcome

Most of it is practice. Looking at screenshots can help a lot, but it’s still possible to get it down without looking at them. I had to keep my fandom stuff a secret and couldn’t look at screenies, so a lot of it was just memorizing the style as best I could lol. I also don’t draw people, so I never really had my own style. It was easier to adapt to BH’s style because I didn’t have to concentrate on not drawing in mine, plus I found out that I already drew things kinda the same way, like hands. But once I was able to get a better look at stills from the show, it was pretty much just a matter of practicing and repetition. Tracing is also another option.
Hear me out on this, kay? Tracing is bad when you don’t do it to learn, it’s bad when you do it to get praise. Tracing, if you focus on not getting the lines perfect, but instead focusing on how it’s drawn and the proportions and stuff, can be a very valuable tool. It can help you if you can’t draw something right, but tracing is only a learning tool. Don’t trace when you plan to make final pictures. Learn from tracing until you can do it from memory. I didn’t do that because like I said earlier, I had to keep my fandom stuff a secret, but I can guarantee you it woulda helped loads. Tracing isn’t cheating, and it isn’t something to belittle someone about. Animators use it to learn how to draw characters right, and so can you.
This sounds really stupid but it’s the only way I know to word it ;_;
